Red + White = Gone

For red wine, pour white wine on the stain, then soak. After, wash in cold water.

For white wine, wash in cold water and ammonia.

I tried white wine on red long ago and it didn't work for me. I think a better solution is Wine Away (http://www.wineaway.com/). As for ammonia, I have not tried it, but it's very strong, so you probably couldn't use it on fine clothes.

Regardless, with red wine, like blood, the key is treating it right away and then putting it in the wash before it dries.

I agree - WINE AWAY is much better than white wine or amonia. Everyone should have WINE AWAY, it's simply a miracle product on my clothes and carpet...yes, we spill a lot.
